The River Network – The Australian Current

The River Network – The Australian Current

We are hosting the first Australian gathering of The River Network right here in the Blue Mountains. The river network connects together people who serve backpackers from around the world. We have participants flying in from Tasmania, New Zealand and Thailand. Lots of time for swapping stories, sharing meals, and singing by the fire (if it’s cool enough).

Total Cost for the weekend including food and accommodation = $150

Two international gatherings have already been held in Europe with lots of positive feedback from the participants.

You can find more info and RSVP here: http://www.therivercommunities.com/gathering-detail

Life Together Conference

The Life Together Conference is a gathering of people who are interested in co-housing, intentional communities and collaborative living. This includes organisations running community-based discipleship training.

The weekend will be low-key, with lots of time for casual conversations. Join us to discuss the highs and lows of community living and some of the common issues that arise in co-housing situations. There will also be opportunities to discuss different decision-making systems, financial models, mentoring arrangements, the role of families and children in communities, and the core ideologies underpinning each community. You can also swap recipes, gardening tips, clothing and decor ideas, and even some home-grown community songs!

Essentially, the Life Together Conference is a chance to meet like-minded people and swap stories!

If you would to be part of this event, please email karl@wanderingbookseller.com.au to express interest.

The Life Together Conference will run from Friday Night to Sunday Afternoon at the Kihilla Retreat Centre in the Blue Mountains. It will be followed by the Regional River Network conference for Australian and New Zealand Backpacker Ministries (starting on the Monday).
