Tonn and Hannah

tonnTonn and Hannah met while living in a l’Abri community in the Netherlands. In Australia they lived as support workers in a Wesley Mission community housing project, before moving to Kihilla. Tonn’s formal studies include Bachelor of Nursing (QUT), Masters in Christian Philosophy (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam) and Masters in Divinity (Sydney and Missionary Bible College). Tonn’s special interests include Australian Aboriginal theology, missiology, and hermeneutical communities.

Hannah’s formal studies include Masters in Psychology (Utrecht University) and she is a registered psychologist in Australia. Hannah also volunteers with the prayer and counselling ministry team at Lighthouse Church, Katoomba. Hannah’s special interests include applied theology, gardening and art.

Hannah and Tonn are also the parents of two active children!

 

Karl and Naomi
Karl and Naomi met while studying at Macquarie University. They have lived in a variety of co-housing and residential community settings. Naomi was a member of the residential staff at an Anglican boarding school in Sydney and an Anglican Retreat Centre in the UK. Karl and Naomi have regularly taken in boarders and also lived in a Cornerstone Community in Canowindra.

Naomi’s formal studies include Bachelor of Arts/Dip Ed. (Macquarie University), Post-Graduate Studies in Children’s Literature (Macquarie University), and an Advanced Certificate in Christian Education and Worldview (Macquarie Christian Studies Institute). Naomi’s special interests include children’s literature, theories of learning and fibre arts.

k Karl is a business owner, writer and travelling bookseller. Karl’s formal studies include Cert IV Accounting & Bookkeeping, Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts with a focus on New Testament studies and early Christian literature. Karl’s special interests include comparative theology, organisational management and jazz.

Karl and Naomi are the parents of three active children!

Kanan

Kanan recently moved to Kihilla from Southern California. He is studying a Bachelor of Ministry with the Antioch School of Church Planting and Leadership Development. Kanan has been volunteering his skills in customer service, building maintenance and carpentry.  Kanan’s special interests include practical and applied theology, apologetics and rocks.

Nathan has lived with Cornerstone Communities in Canowindra and Orange. Nathan works in sales and admin at The Wandering BooksellerNathan has extensive experience in organising conferences and events with formal studies in Live Production, Event Management and Christian Discipleship. Nathan’s special interests include anthropology, social ethics, and vintage guitars.
